Congratulations on getting accepted into school! Also, I saw a quote some time ago that said something like - a person's success in life is directly related to the number of uncomfortable conversations they're willing to have. So good on you!
1. My adult son’s compassion. I tearfully shared something with him that I was upset about and when I thanked him for listening, his response touched me: “I always will”. 😭❤️
I too love a quiet home. A dear friend says - there are no two greater days then the day when the headlights come down the drive, and the day when the taillights go back up the drive.
1. I haven’t used a sewing machine in over 30 years. I’m adding blackout fabric to the curtains of our 89 Vanagon using my neighbor’s very old (classic) Kenmore 12 Stitch sewing machine. It took a minute or two to remember how to thread the machine properly, tension for stitches, bobbin, etc. I’ve completed 3/5 pair and am feeling pretty good about how they’re turning out!! Wooo Hooo!! 😁
2. AC on this hot humid rainy day.
3. My husband who is working tirelessly and patiently to prepare our Vanagon for our upcoming camp out.
One of my favorite quotes. Using this with my teenager often.
1. Two thunderstorms in one day. Love a summer storm … especially when the power stays on.
2. Lots of yummy salads in dinner rotation.
3. Pretty coral geranium blooms. Idon’t like geraniums (not good childhood memories around red ones) but I was given this one as a gift and can appreciate this as it was given.
Okay. I need to get you and my husband talking. He has a similar hatred towards geraniums and I’ve never been able to have them around. Y’all share a similar childhood trauma.
The smell, the deadheading and the person doing it. Was not something I could push past until this gorgeous color. Good luck to your husband. But the alternative is there a lot of different other options.
Yes! Everything about them. Thank you for the reminder. I need t o bring some “library cookies” to mine. I put together a box in June but my library was unexpectedly closed for a staff meeting. The cookies didn’t make it past the weekend in my house. Heehee

Enjoy the silence!!
1. The joy I feel when I see my small garden full of happy plants.
2. The energy of a storm approaching with gusty winds, lots of lightening flashing all over the sky and that rumble of thunder.
3. The peaceful feeling after the storm has passed and the air is so fresh.
Yes, love all of those things!

1. Seeing all the families working together in the community garden
2. Getting to exercise with people I love twice today
3. Libraries. Just everything about libraries.
I could live in a library without a doubt.
Me, too!
Yes to #3, especially the ones that are small enough that one can smell the books, like being in a used book store!
Oh, I wish mine was that small!
#3 for sure!

That sounds about right. Cookies never last very long in my house either.

Yes, AC!
I often send thanks to the inventor of A/C.
