If you’re having trouble noticing good things, start here:
Look around, right here right now.
Is the sun shining? Can you feel its warmth on your face? That’s good.
Is it raining? The rain is helping the plants and trees to grow. That’s good.
Is there a roof over your head? That’s good.
Running water, good. Electricity, good. Transportation to get from here to there, good.
Did you eat something tasty for breakfast? That’s good. Talk to someone you love recently? Good.
Is your heart beating? Good. Air flowing in and out of your lungs? Good. Opposable thumbs? Good.
And every good thing we see leads to seeing another good thing. Try it, you’ll see.
Tuesday:
July. Turning the page on a new month. I love a clean slate.
I have always believed that I couldn’t do a side plank. When they came up in yoga classes - for *years* - I did something else instead. I’ve been practicing them, and today I held a side plank for 30 seconds on each side. Growing strength, and crushing mental blocks.
Leftovers for dinner.

1. My adult son’s compassion. I tearfully shared something with him that I was upset about and when I thanked him for listening, his response touched me: “I always will”. 😭❤️
